Aidan McCarthy BAAF ACA
Aidan graduated from Dublin City University in 1994 with an Honors Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Finance Degree. He joined the firm as an Audit Senior from another Dublin practice in October 1998. He was then appointed as a partner in the firm in January 2004. Aidan is an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland and a Registered Auditor.
Aidan oversees a portfolio of clients ranging from international groups of companies to small and medium sized Irish owner managed businesses. The companies he deals with are mainly in the construction, distribution and agency sectors. He has considerable experience in all areas of general practice notably audit, accounting, taxation and financing. He has particular interest in assisting new business ventures to get started in Ireland and assisting existing businesses who want to expand internationally.
Within the firm, Aidan has the role of Training Partner and is responsible for keeping staff ahead of current issues in professional and regulatory matters. He is also jointly responsible for managing the auditing and accounting departments as well as dealing with staff and fellow partners on any technical matters.
In his spare time, Aidan is an avid golfer and follower of Gaelic football and hurling. He also enjoys travel especially experiencing new countries and cultures.
